PrEP is recommended for HIV-negative adults who are at elevated risk of HIV. You may be a good candidate if you have condomless anal or vaginal sex, have a sexual partner living with HIV, have had a recent STI diagnosis, or engage in sex work. You do not need a referral from a family doctor. At Spectrum, your first visit is a short telephone consultation with our nurse practitioner — no in-person exam required to get started.
