How it works

1. Finish your visit.

Your Spectrum clinician sends your lab requisition to you through Jane, either as a message or in your chart.

2. Book directly with Blood Tech.

Use their Spectrum patient page or call (403) 614-0078. Tell them you are a Spectrum by Equalis Health patient so the correct pricing applies.

3. Pay Blood Tech and complete their consent.

They set their own fee and handle payment and receipts.

4. Have your requisition ready.

On your phone is fine. The technician draws blood and picks up any self-collected urine or swab samples, then delivers everything to APL.

5. Results reach your clinician the same way as a lab visit.

Blood Tech lets us know when your collection is done, and we message you once your clinician has reviewed the results.

What it costs

Blood Tech Diagnostics sets and collects its own fee. The amount depends on where you are; addresses outside city limits carry a travel surcharge. Current pricing for Spectrum patients is on their booking page.

Can I claim it?

Blood Tech gives you a receipt. Mobile collection fees may qualify under a Health Spending Account and under some extended health plans. Coverage varies by plan, so check yours before booking. Spectrum cannot confirm coverage on your behalf.
