PrEP anywhere in Alberta

Spectrum by Equalis Health is a virtual sexual health clinic serving patients across Alberta. Where you live in the province does not change what you can access — consultations, follow-ups and renewals are all virtual, with a licensed Alberta Nurse Practitioner. No referral is needed, and most patients pay $0.

Based in Calgary. We provide care to patients located in Alberta only.

Serving every community in Alberta

Access to sexual health care has never been equal across the province. Established clinics and informed family physicians are easier to find in the larger centres, and harder to find everywhere else. Virtual care removes distance from the equation.

Patients across the province

We see patients in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Airdrie, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Fort McMurray, Leduc, Okotoks, Camrose, Cold Lake, Lloydminster, Fort Saskatchewan, Wetaskiwin, Brooks, Canmore and smaller communities throughout Alberta.

If you live in a town without a sexual health clinic nearby, or you would simply rather not sit in a waiting room, the process is identical to the one followed by someone in a major city.

What is the same everywhere

Your consultation is by telephone with a licensed Alberta Nurse Practitioner. No referral is required and no in-person exam is needed to get started.

Alberta Precision Laboratories has Patient Service Centres throughout Alberta, and your Spectrum requisition can be used at any appropriate location — at no charge with an Alberta Health Care card.

Your prescription goes to the licensed pharmacy of your choice, anywhere in Alberta.

Looking for your city? See PrEP in Calgary or PrEP in Edmonton, where independent at-home lab collection is also available.
